Nic: I didn't think that deeply into it. (pauses for a few seconds) That day I bent down on one knee and proposed to her (Cecilia Cheung), did you think I was marrying someone I didn't understand at all? Of course I understand this person a lot, no matter her personality, her appearance or her history. Even if there is some things I didn't know at the time, I have to accommodate, because I made a decision on that day, I said to myself: even if there are any "surprises" in the future, it is the past. So to me, I didn't look on this matter too importantly.
Reporter: Did you not think this matter was especially serious?
Nic: My first feeling anyway was that I would be by her side helping her and giving her confidence. I'll handle anything the outside world throws at us, you'll stay at home and live happily with our son, this is called happiness.
Reporter: This decision of yours was too important. I think if it didn't turn out like this, the woman would have gone crazy. She must have been very touched, from now on she's very loyal to her right?
Nic: I don't know.

Nic: Like I just said, if I put my mind to do something I do it very straightforwardly. Since that matter has already happened and I've made this decision, then I should do it as well as I can.

Nic: No. Everyday I see the media and everyday I see my wife. Nicholas Tse isn't someone who runs away from issues. Not to mention the industry I'm in, (even if) I wasn't in this industry, where can I run to? So I made this decision: I won't mention this matter ever again. Like you said a man has to be like this to be responsible, even if we're in an argument you can't mention it, because it's unfair to her.
