Nicholas Tse poses with Dante Lam, Lin Peng and Andy On

The 2012 "Spring Festival" block buster "The Viral Factor" is currently showing, today, director Dante Lam along with main stars Nicholas Tse, Lin Peng, Andy On attended an event in Guangzhou to promote the film. The movie company showed the making of "The Viral Factor", the revealed the exciting and highly praised action scenes. Nicholas Tse, who always "takes risks" when filming action movies, said that this movie was the hardest movie he has had to film, but he hopes he can still keep the fire in his heart burning and continue the spirit of filming action movies.

From the video of the making of "The Viral Factor" you can see that besides the main stars taking on danger, you can also see explosions and gun fire all around, the scene is very exciting, you can say this is one gun fighting movie that has come close to the level of Hollywood. Besides the action scenes, family is also one of the main themes of the movie.

Director Dante Lam revealed: "Even though this is a life risking gun fighting movie, but it has family issues interlaced. I hope after everyone sees it they can know to cherish their family and that the people in front of their eyes is the most important. I've always liked this theme of gun fights, this I also found a core that can carry it. My previous gun fight movies had no emotions, now I've found a theme to carry this kind of feeling, I hope I can continue with it."

Nicholas Tse and the cast are interviewed

Towards why old partner Nick Cheung was excluded this time, Dante Lam stated: "I wanted to change the story, this time the two are young people with energy and determination, I'm sure everyone has seen Nic's determination in movies, Jay Chou has been very determined in music, I hope to use their determination and bring out the best." Some reporters were curious as to why Nicholas Tse played the older brother and Jay Chou played the younger brother, Dante Lam thought: "I started working with Nic in 2002, in these past few years he's been through a lot, he's matured a lot, he knows how to take care of people, he is a very mature man. Jay Chou's main strength is in music, he still has that child-like innocence and naughtiness, so I thought Nic was more like the older brother."

Talking about the third time Dante Lam has worked with Nicholas Tse, Nic said smiling: "This time the understanding between us has gotten even better, because the director understands my life experiences more and my personality. Sometimes he will drag out my feelings and movements and film them, or he will use my experiences as analogies when talking to me about a scene, I hope we can work together again in the future."

The cast talk about the film

Thinking back about the part in the movie where he jumped from the eighth floor without using a stunt double, Nicholas Tse was very emotional: "It wasn't the problem of the height, it was a problem of accuracy, I had to jump into the opening in the middle, if I flung my arm out it would hit the top and break immediately, if I did the jump wrong I would be paralysed, fortunately I did it first time." In the movie there was also a dangerous scene where Nicholas Tse drives the car flying and then crashes it into a bus, when he was filming the first bit he had already fulfilled the requirements of the director and action director, but yet he thought it wasn't bad enough so he climbed onto the car and shouted "go in harder", he really risked his life with the performance.
