Nicholas Tse making his acceptance speech at the Hong Kong Film Awards

The 29th Hong Kong Film Awards was held at the Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui Culture Centre yesterday (18th), Nicholas Tse won Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Bodyguards and Assassins", when he went onstage he sobbed for a moment. This was because he spent little time with his wife Cecilia Cheung and a lot of time apart with filming, he thanked her for being understanding.

Nicholas Tse wore red clothes, winning Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Bodyguards and Assassins", and he was voted as the best dressed male guest of the night, when he arrived he ridiculed himself saying he looked like the red carpet, when he went up to collect his award he sobbed for a moment, he thanked Peter Chan and the rest of the background crew, he especially thanked his wife Cecilia Cheung, he said: "I really want to thank my wife, yesterday night I finished filming and returned home, it was the first time this month, she's got two weeks to go before having our second baby, but tomorrow I have to fly again, this month I've only been with her one day, thank you for not being mad at me, wife!" This nice gentleman also thanked his parents, slanting his head and standing in a pose a bit like Patrick Tse, Nicholas Tse said: "I also have to thank my parents, simply because I haven't thanked them in a while. Thank you everyone."

When he was interviewed backstage he revealed, after the awards he was going straight home to celebrate with his wife, he'll probably give the HK$80 grand jade necklace (prize for best dresser award) to Cecilia Cheung: "My wife sent me an SMS: 'Oh? There's jewellery? So expensive.'" He expressed he won't be upping his fee because he won an award, he said smiling: "I'll add four zeros! I won't actually, now is different to the past, there's a lot of actors, Nicholas Tse is here today, he'll be here tomorrow, no matter if I get any awards, I'll put my heart into acting."
